Terms of use
This text describes the rules the platform actually applies.
Publisher
IV QR is published by IV, Carrefour BM, Makepe, Douala, Cameroon.
Contact: contact@immigration-voyages.com.
Governing law: Cameroonian law; any dispute falls under the courts of Douala (Cameroon).
The service
IV QR is free. The platform has no payment and no advertising.
- A fixed QR holds its content directly. It is created without an account, in the browser, and does not depend on the platform once printed.
- An editable QR holds a short address of the platform, which redirects the visitor. It requires an account, and it stops working if the platform stops.
Accounts
An account is created by invitation from the administrator, unless open sign-up is switched on. The password has at least 10 characters. The administrator also goes through two-step verification.
From your account, you can export your data and delete the account at any time.
Limits
Unless the administrator sets otherwise, an account gets:
- 3 editable QR codes
- 1,000 scans per month
- 100 MB of files, 10 MB per file
- 5 API keys, 60 calls per minute per key, 2,000 calls per day
Beyond 1,000 scans, the QR keeps redirecting: a printed QR does not break down. An alert appears in your account and for the administrator.
Link checks
Each link is checked on creation, on edit, then every week. A dangerous link is refused. If a saved link becomes dangerous, the QR is suspended automatically.
A doubtful link, such as an IP address, a URL shortener or an executable file, stays possible: the visitor first sees a warning page.
Hosted files
Any file type is accepted. Executable files, active files, archives and documents with macros wait for the administrator's approval before they can be reached. A refused file is erased.
Files are served as downloads, under a rewritten name, from an address separate from the site.
Abuse and suspension
The administrator can suspend a QR that leads to phishing, a virus, a scam or shocking content, and can revoke an API key. A suspended QR no longer redirects. Its owner can neither resume nor edit it, but can delete it.
Each administration action is written to a log that cannot be changed. To report a QR: Report abuse.
API
An API key is worth a password. It is shown once, and you can revoke it at any time. The API follows the same limits and the same checks as the interface.
Warranties and liability
The service is provided as is, with no guarantee of continuous availability. Account holders are responsible for the links and files they publish. Static QR codes do not depend on the site and keep working if it stops. Any shutdown of the service would be announced on the site at least 30 days in advance, leaving time to export your data.
